Becoming a Storyteller

From Imagination to 'Publication'

These five lessons, taught by author-illustrator Tara J. Hannon, will guide students through the creative writing process, from idea generation to writing and publishing their own illustrated stories.

In this class, each child learn with a hands-on approach as they create stories of their own. Students will learn methods of creative idea generation, story structure, and character development. They will write their story, compile it into a book, and illustrate the pages.

This class encourages fun, open-minded creativity, and independent creative problem-solving. Each child will leave a proud author with a self-made book to hold in their hands!

This class is hosted at Tara's home in Crownsville, MD (Arden on the Severn)
